Unlocking our planet’s full clean energy potential, with smarter offshore technology.

We’re Osbit. A team of engineering experts developing cutting-edge equipment to make offshore wind happen at scale.

We design and build systems across many technology areas, including subsea burial, foundation and cable installation, lifting & handling, and access.

We’re here to redefine what’s possible to drive the clean energy sector forward. With decades of collective experience in developing offshore equipment, our team is a hub of specialist knowledge and expertise.

Osbit was co-founded by Dr Tony Trapp MBE, a pivotal figure in developing the global subsea industry.

As an engineer, Tony helped design some of the world’s first subsea ploughs & trenchers, which revolutionised the oil & gas and telecoms industries as well as, later, renewables.

Over his distinguished career, Tony founded and led a number of global engineering businesses in North East England. For his tireless work in improving offshore technology, he has also received Global Underwater Hub’s Outstanding Contribution to the Subsea Industry Award.

We’re proud to build on Tony’s amazing legacy, as we develop exciting new technology for offshore wind.

Driving energy transition through wind power

As the offshore wind sector grows to meet rising demand, the sophistication and technical requirements of larger offshore wind projects increase.

Venterra is building an industry leading services company to meet this demand, by acquiring and partnering with select companies in the offshore wind industry, and adding management support and capital to fuel expansion.

Venterra’s objective is to help wind power develop by engineering, building, and supporting the operations of wind energy developments around the world.

A reputation for innovation

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do; it’s in how we design, build, operate, and process. We enjoy nothing more than shaking things up to drive progress.

Osbit is a proud Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2022 recipient in the Innovation category. We’ve been recognised for our capability in engineering game-changing solutions to improve offshore safety and efficiency.
