Osbit announces new appointments as part of growth strategy

Osbit, the energy transition-focused engineering company, has announced a series of new appointments as it enters a significant growth phase.

As part of its expansion strategy, the business, which was recently acquired by offshore wind services company Venterra Group, has strengthened its leadership team to enhance the running of day-to-day business operations.

The new appointments focus on the creation of new director roles to oversee different areas within the company.

To ensure Osbit underpins continued growth Director Neil Harrison is leading business resources, Director Phil Pennington is leading project delivery, Director Martin Jolliffe takes on technical delivery, and Director Steve Binney is heading up future technology advancement.

These appointments, all of whom were formerly Associate Directors, are experienced engineers who have helped shape Osbit’s project success to date.

To recognise the continued growth in sales and business development, Director Chris Jones is leading business development and continuing to drive the growth strategy, Director Ben Webster now heads up all sales, and Director Scott Gartshore leads an enhanced customer support function.

These appointments were also internally recruited, with each new director already heavily involved in Osbit’s sales and business development efforts.

Osbit’s new appointments sit on a newly formed Executive Committee with the existing directors. This committee, which is responsible for running the business, is an evolution of the previous operational board.

Osbit Joint Managing Directors Brendon Hayward and Robbie Blakeman said:

“These appointments are part of ensuring that our current growth trajectory continues in a sustainable manner, while maintaining our commitment to supporting our clients and delivering a best-in-class service. This development also cements our commitment to enabling the global energy transition.

We have a very capable and dedicated team throughout Osbit, and we are particularly delighted to have made all these appointments from within our existing colleagues.

Our offshore engineering capabilities have never been more in demand, and by strengthening our leadership team, we are more ready than ever to deliver the technology our customers need, when they need it.”
